WE ARE SHY IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA & FEEL AWKWARD ABOUT HAVING OUR PHOTO TAKEN
Yes I know how you feel. I actually feel super uncomfortable in front of the camera myself! It’s a weird feeling have a camera right in your face! I shoot documentary style for most of the day, and for your portrait session, we simply take a stroll, and my aim is to catch you in the most natural way without over posing. I will offer direction if needed and we’ll go around together looking for beautiful spots. I’m interested in catching the ‘in between’ genuine giggles, quiet romantic moments & letting you just be yourselves.
CAN YOU PHOTOSHOP US?
I believe in promoting self love and body positivity, so I don’t alter the way you look other than skin blemishes or anything temporary that would not normally be there (bruise, scrape, acne etc unless you’d like me to keep it the photos). If you’re especially self conscious about something, please let me know as I’ll be sure to be extra aware of that while I’m photographing you.
APART FROM FAMILY PHOTOS, DO WE NEED TO PROVIDE YOU WITH A ’SHOT’ LIST OF THE IMAGES WE WOULD?
As a documentary wedding photographer & lover of candid beauty, I find that I work best capturing what I see in front of me and keeping it real and honest, looking for the real stuff rather than following a ‘shot’ list and then potentially missing unexpected moments that may perhaps only be there for a few seconds & that I would hate to miss. I am lovers of the little details that you’ve gone to great eforts to create, as well as the bigger picture, and I will work my hardest to make sure that the magic is captured..
I'm not just a vendor and you're just not my client.
We will be friends. I invest all my engery into my couples on their wedding day. I want to capture all the memories for you to look back on and feel like it was the happiest day.
ANYTHING ELSE YOU NEED TO KNOW?
WHAT IF IT’S TERRIBLE WEATHER ON OUR WEDDING DAY?
I always encourage embracing whatever weather comes our way, as it’s beautiful and unique in photos. Usually at Weddings there is always an undercover area we an shoot. If it is harsh enough that it would make for a shitty time during an engagement session I can always reschedule (or ruin my camera), then we totally will! But I am usually pretty chilled when it comes to different weather scenarios.
WHAT ARE YOUR TRAVEL COSTS?
The costing will vary depending on location but I am more than happy to draw up a quote for you. Just let me know where about’s the big day is taking place and I’ll provide you with a personalised quote.
DO YOU SUPPLY US WITH THE RAW FILES FROM THE DAY?
Unfortunately I don’t, sorry. The love, time & care that goes into every individual image as part of the post processing is just as significant as the capturing of the day itself, and defines the end product that you receive. Without this, the images would not be what they are.
HOW DO WE BOOK YOU FOR OUR WEDDING?
It’s so simple! After we have had a chat and you are comfortable with me as your photographer all I will need is a deposit of 30% and a signed contract and its all go from there.
DO YOU HELP WITH THE WEDDING DAY PLANS?
Of course I can help! I am always one phone call or email away. I have so many wonderful connections in the wedding industry and can help find florists, celebrants, music ect. I can also help recommend a timeline for your day to get the best out of your photos.
